Crap Recycling: Uhuru Appoints All Nyeri County Jubilee Election Losers
President Uhuru Kenyatta

Majority of politicians from Nyeri, Kiambu and Murang’a counties who lost in the Jubilee Party nominations and did not defend their seats are now beneficiaries of recent State appointments. Uhuru is appointing people who are his mother’s agemates.

While many youths suffer out here in an everything taxed society, Uhuru in just one year, has nominated seven out of eight Nyeri leaders who were voted out in the 2017 to top State jobs.

Funny enough, in the retired president Kibaki’s home county, electoral purge saw all but two elected leaders voted out. Only Kieni MP Kanini Kega and Mweiga ward representative Mwaniki Kanyiri survived the broom as then governor, senator, woman representative, five MPs and 29 MCAs were swept out during the Jubilee nominations.

Earlier this week, Uhuru appointed the retarded, unqualified and former Othaya MP Mary Wambui to chair the National Employment Authority, and before that oldshame settles, the Jubilee leader has handed former Nyeri Senator Mutahi Kagwe and former Mathira MP Peter Weru State jobs.

In a Gazette notice dated October 17, 2019, Mr Kagwe was appointed as a member of the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority for three years. He has served as an MP, Cabinet minister and Senator from 2002 to 2017 when he lost in the Gubernatorial race to the late Gakuo.

Water CS Simon Chelugui has appointed former single-term Mathira MP Peter Weru to head the Tana Water Works Development Agency for three years.

Former Kinangop MP David Ngugi has been picked to sit on the board of the Lapsset Corridor Development Authority for three years.

Former Kirinyaga senator Daniel Karaba has also been appointed a Board member of Trustees of the Commodities Fund for three years.

The latest appointments of Mr Kagwe, Mr Weru and Mr Karaba come days after former Othaya MP Wambui astonishing appointment whic also cames barely a week after the National Assembly approved Esther Murugi to sit in the National Land Commission.

In May, former Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando was tabbed to chair the board of Local Authorities Provident Fund.

Priscilla Nyokabi, former Nyeri Woman Representative is now a commissioner at the National Gender and Equality Commission.

This is your inclusive government now. The youths who were burning other people’s properties and killing each other, this is your price! Time to use brains and not voters cards.
