DCI Kinoti in the US for FBI training

Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti is in the USA for the Federal Bureau Investigations (FBI) training.

Kinoti will be attending the National Executive Institute training which is a three-week leadership training program held at the FBI Academy at Quantico, Virginia.

He is the only detective from Africa considered for the high-level training with other attendees drawn from Canada and Australia.

Attendees must be heads of departments with more than 500 sworn officers serving a population of 250,000, according to the National Executive Institute (NEI) website.

NEI is the FBI’s premier executive training initiative and has provided leadership development for the Bureau executives and other heads of law enforcement agencies in the U.S. and overseas.

Kinoti’s training comes amid intense collaboration between the FBI and Kenya’s law enforcement departments to fight terrorism.

In February, the FBI and the U.S Department of State announced they had partnered with creating the first Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) in Kenya.
