DCI responds to a very graphic Video

The Directorate of criminal investigations(DCI) has reacted to a graphic video of a suspected thieft subjected to mob Justice.

In a video that DCI has launched probe into, a suspected thief is being beaten and his skin spotted with a net set on fire.

“No mercy. This thief will end your lifetime dreams and leave your children orphaned over your handbag/ wallet with afew coins, or just your phone. Maybe, if this is done often on confirmed thieves, it’ll be a lesson to potential thieves. If you’ve ever met them, utawajua,” a Kenyan on twitter posted.

This comes at a time that soo many people are s struggling to put food on the table.

Cessation of movement in zoned areas has also added salt to an already injured economy that is pushing hundreds to crime.

Last week, a 25 year old thief was burnt to death in Embakasi East, Tassia after he was nabbed robbing resident’s clothes and shoes in an apartment.

A suspected cattle thief was also set ablaze in Kakamega by angry village whereas another one was stoned to death in Kitale.
