In a morning exclusive, Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi reveals through a leaked telephone conversation sent to him that Embakasi Member of Parliament aspirant in the 2017 election Mr. Francis Mureithi voted several times for Uhuru Kenyatta in the repeat October elections.
Mr. Murethi who vied and lost and contested the results of his own elections in Embakasi East has just confessed to an election offence punishable by law.
At the time of writing this article, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has not issued any statement n the matter. Of course, in Africa, the hardest thing to do is to remove a sitting pesident.
However, Mr Mureithi should be punished for this.
The conversation
The audio is long but at some point Mr. Mureithi confesses:
Mureithi: “…repeat elections mtu anapiganga kura mara moja, Mimi nilipiga kura mara nne…’.
Anothe person: “Wewe ulicommit election offense”, the other person interjects
Mureithi: “…nilipiga mara nne ndio Uhuru arudi kwasababu unajua Maraga alikuwa amepeleka yeye nyumbani tena…’.
