EXCLUSIVE: Owner of Cape Town Hotel where Kenya’s netball team are being hosted speaks

Kenyanbulletin.com through popular blogger Xtian Dela has received official statements from the owner of a South African hotel where Kenya netball team players are being held.

His statement comes barely a day after reports emerged from South Africa that the players won’t be released until their bill being fully paid.

Kenyanbulletin.com also understands that the team is also said to have gone without food due to lack of money as once again the mistreatment of athletes by the ministry and sports federations reared its ugly face.

The owner of the hotel Blessing stated that the team of 16 players checked in on Monday 16th and booked a 10 day stay at the hotel. They also asked for catering which has been offered since they booked in.

Blessing also categorically stated that they have not confiscated their passports as said on social media.

He also said that the hotel sent an invoice to the Kenyan government and that the team is supposed to check out on Thursday 24th.

And for any reason he said that they cannot let the team check out without payment.
