How Mary Githae conned me via Trident insurance Company

The following article narrates how Mary Githae conned Kenneth after she insured his car with a Trident insurance cover while lying that she works at Kenya Orient Insurance.

How Mary Githae conned me via Trident insurance Company

l subscribed for an insurance cover through a lady by the name Mary Githae. On first approach, She informed me that she works for Kenya Orient Insurance Company.

I subscribed for a comprehensive cover for my Car. The first time she brought me a Kenya Orient Cover and windshield Sticker. On renewal, having not been involved in an accident, l opted to stick to Kenya Orient.

On delivery, little did l know She had brought me a Trident insurance Company insurance Cover and Kenya Orient Company windshield Sticker to deceive me.

I unsuspectedly stuck the Sticker on my car and only came to notice it was for Trident insurance company Ltd when my car was involved in an accident Last Year. When l called her regarding the accident, she kept avoiding my calls when l questioned her why she got me to Trident insurance and not Kenya orient as before. She thereby never Assisted me in getting the car to the Trident authorized garage or Contacting the Elusive Trident Insurance Company Claims Office which l never knew about until when I researched and later managed to get the insurance company – Kisumu office, which helped me to tow my car after 2 weeks from Kakamega to their agent garage in Kisumu.

I was later asked for the relevant documents which l Submitted to Trident Insurance Kisumu Office which was Liaising with their Head Office Claims Officer by the names Bella lrago and Brydon who opted to not picking neither my calls nor the Kisumu office managers calls regarding my Vehicle.

I couldn’t travel to the head office since l was in Kakamega taking care of my sick Dad, until he passed on in May 2021. Since then, it turned out to be a CAT and Mouse game which so far lasted for 10 months after the accident. I spent a lot of money hiring vehicles to take my Dad to and from the hospital and traveling for business during this time. I have emails and documents exchanged between Trident Insurance officers and myself on the same subject.

After contacting my Lawyers to Summon them, he issued a demand letter to their head office. After a month, the lumpsum payment was done by them issuing me with Five post-dated Cheques due in 6months installments, starting September 10th, 2021. Meaning until February  10th, 2022 is when l can have full payment for my car to be sorted out as that’s when the repair costs amount will have been fully paid.

The ball of contention By then will be, the garage quotation will have become invalid, so l would have to add some more money from my pocket to pay for the Vehicle parts due to fluctuation of parts rates and for the storage of the vehicle in the garage charge, which is for one year and four months.

Having subscribed for a comprehensive insurance cover, it would have only been fair for me to be Compensated as Subscribed. As you read, my car is still at the garage in Kisumu, yet to be attended to as we await the payments. It would have taken them 1 year and four months for repayment. Attached are the documents regarding the subject. Am now completely grounded to do my business, Kindly assist.
