A pupil sitting for her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination in Aberdares oozed to death.
Nyandarua County Commissioner Benson Leparmorijo, confirmed that the KCPE candidate at Pesi Primary school succumbed to excessive bleeding shortly after being admitted at the Nyahururu County Referral Hospital.
He said that the girl had reported to the examination centre in a jovial mood on Tuesday morning but experienced labour pains shortly before the morning paper.
The commissioner said the girl was admitted at the Pesi Dispensary, where she delivered a baby boy normally at around 10a.m .
She would be rushed to the Nyahururu County Referral Hospital shortly after with heavy bleeding.
Her newborn baby was also transferred to the safe facility with breathing complications and placed in an incubator.
In other related news, another KCPE candidate lost her baby on Monday afternoon shortly after delivery.
According to police reports, the class eight pupil had copulated and impregnated by her father.
