Duncan Ndiema, the police officer whop is accused of fatally shooting 13-year-old Yasin Moyo from the balcony of their family house in Kiamaiko, skipped a court session where he was to take a plea on friday.
Through his lawyer, Danstan Omari, the police officer complained that he was unwell and exhibiting symptoms simmilar to those ofCovid-19.
Mr. Omari also told the court that the accused presented himself to IPOA on Thursday and mental examination was also conducted.
Presiding Judge Ogembo who considered arguments from both parties to the case, said since there are no objections to defer plea-taking, Ndiema will do so on Tuesday next week.
The monor was perched on the balcony of their house as he curiously watched police patrolling the streets with his mother and siblings.
