Limuru man kills lover over Sh270 electricity bill

Police officers based at the Tigoni Police Station are hunting a middle-aged man accused of chopping his lover to death on Wednesday after they disagreed over a Ksh.270 electricity bill.

Residents of Gikabu village in Limuru braved the cold nights in search of the suspect without success.

The two who were living in a rented room in the said village had earlier on agreed to split their property and go separate ways after one of them lost employment resulting into frequent arguments and fights.

Witnesses said two had recently recently fought after the man accused his lover of stealing household items.

The Area Chief confirmed the incident saying the body of the deceased that was moved to the Uplands Funeral Home in Nyambari appeared to have been cut with a machete several times.
