Eyewitnesses and videos shared online claimed that the MCA Robert Alai arrived with a large group of supporters before a confrontation erupted. Reports say Joyline and Catherine suffered injuries during the incident and later received treatment at the Nairobi Women’s Hospital.
The incident sparked outrage online, with many Kenyans calling for investigations by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and the National Police Service.
Critics raised concerns about rising political violence and intimidation ahead of the 2027 elections. By Tuesday evening, authorities had not released an official statement on the matter.
