Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Suna East MP Junet Muhamed are bickering over looting allegations at Kemsa.
This comes after ODM party leader Raila Odinga issued a statement calling for investigations into the matter to reveal the truth. Odinga seems to be slightly shifting his position after his party accused the media of overblowing the matter before establishing the truth.
Deputy President Dr. William Ruto later accused the Odinga led party of joining the government through handshake to loot. He labeled the Odinga led party the Lords of corruption.
But the vocal Junet supported Raila’s take on Twitter, asserting that ODM stands for “an exhaustive audit that produces incontrovertible evidence to make a watertight case against anyone found culpable.”
That’s when Murkomen was quick to respond. The die hard Ruto ally told Junet to resign and “expect to be arrested” together with his colleagues over the Kemsa loot.
“We are calling for your resignation and immediate arrest as you await your fellow suppliers to meet you in court,” said Murkomen.

The former Majority Leader also accused ODM of acting busy. ODM has already issued two statements over the same matter when the Jubilee party that is in power is yet to say a thing.
“It is so strange that there is no Jubilee leader in the National Assembly or Senate who has come out to defend the Kemsa Covid-19 heist, Not even Tuju. Ironically ODM Party Leader and SG are busy outdoing each other as to who can give the best defence to the looters.” Murkomen added.
Odinga emphasized that ODM wants a quick and professional audit that will lead to bringing the culprits to book.
“ODM will not defend anyone, including members or relatives and friends of its officials, found to have benefited from the fund and other resources meant for fighting the pandemic,” read part of Odinga’s statement.
