Dennis Itumbi turns to Pig Farming after Uhuru fired him

Director of Digital Innovations and Diaspora Communications at the State House Dennis Itumbi was fired on his birthday.

Public Service Commission has informed the public that Dennis Itumbi and four others are no longer State House employees after the GOVT terminated contracts of 5 Senior State House directors at PSCU, including Dennis Itumbi’s.

On Wednesday, Itumbi’s position as the Digital Communications Director at the Presidential Strategic Communications Unit (PSCU) was asserted duplicative alongside his colleagues.

The four are James Kinyua, Erick Ng’eno, David Nzioka and John Ndolo.

Kenyan Bulletin was unable to independently know the reason behind their sacking after our calls to the affected four went unanswered. What is thought is that the team that was sent home was allied to Deputy President Dr William Ruto.

Ruto’s blogger Itumbi has since deleted the title of PSCU Director from his Twitter page. He has updated the bio that now reads— “Pig farmer”

In November last year, Itumbi was a meme and the troll of the week after a video of an embarrassing moment capturing the event as he was being kicked out of the main dais at the Bomas of Kenya during the launch of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) taskforce report.

In October last year, Itumbi and his co-accused Samwel Gateri Wanjiru had been charged afresh over allegations of publishing a false document.

According to the charge sheet, the two published a letter with intent to cause anxiety to the general public. They pleaded not guilty after the court accepted that the two matters be consolidated.

Itumbi and Gateri were the key suspects and architects to an alleged assassination letter involving Deputy President William Ruto.

It later emerged that the letter had been drafted at a cyber cafe in Lang’ata area, Nairobi.

The letter claimed that there had been an alleged meeting at Hotel La Mada on Thika Road with the DP as the main agenda.

On June 24th, 2019, three Cabinet Secretaries were summoned to the DCI headquarters on allegations of plotting to ‘kill the DP’. The CSS refuted the allegations stating that they were “wild” and “unsubstantiated.”

In September last year, Former State House Digital Director Dennis Itumbi was dragged to court in a child maintenance row. The mother of the child through lawyer Enricah Dulo, argues that Mr Itumbi deserted the child from birth and has refused to provide any form of support. She said she had to stop working before giving birth to the baby.

Further, the woman wanted Itumbi to provide a copy of his national ID so that his name can be included in the child’s birth certificate. She said Itumbi had blocked her number and she has been unable to engage him regarding the child’s welfare.

Itumbi was ordered to pay Sh20,000 a month in child support pending the determination of the matter filed at Milimani Law Courts family division. The child’s mother was seeking an award of Sh50,000 as monthly allowance for the child.

Itumbi and the lady dated between January and August last year before the relationship abruptly ended. The matter was mentioned on December 18, 2019.

In recent times, he has been accusing the DCI of using the Daily Nation to spread propaganda against Deputy President William Ruto.
