Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi, the Amani National Congress leader has revealed that he is ready and willing to work with Jubilee’s (asili) Deputy President William Ruto on condition that he endorses his Presidential bid.

ANC Party leader said while speaking in Lugari Kakamega county that this time around he is going for nothing less than the top seat.
“I am at liberty to work with anyone who has the same aspirations like ours, including the deputy president and other leaders. We are tired of being told that we are working for William Ruto. Let me say that we welcome Dr Ruto as long as he supports our bid for the presidency,” said Mudavadi.
At the same time, Mudavadi, who is considered by many as the politically right fellow lashed out at leaders he alleged were out to create rifts between him and his buddy, President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He alleged that some leaders are fond of using the police to disrupt his meetings but are quick to mention the president’s name when questioned. The ANC boss also denied claims that the intent of his meetings is to undermine the president.
Lugari Mp Ayub Savula together with his Lurambi counterpart both confirmed their support for the president.

Musalia said that Kenya’s long enjoyed Democratic space could be jeopardised by such acts of impunity.
“I will not allow that to happen, we must protect people’s democratic rights.” He spoke during a Western leaders consultative meeting where he said nothing would stop him from going for the top seat.

Four important Presidential Election that Musalia Mudavadi has participated:
a) in 2002 when Luhyas and the rest of the nation sought to overthrow KANU and Daniel Moi’s tyranny by voting in NARC and Mwai Kibaki, he was still hanging on Moi’s coat. Here he was being carried by Daniel Moi and his project Uhuru Kenyatta;
b)in run-up to 2007, Raila Odinga resurrected Musalia Mudavadi’s dead political career and installed him into the Pentagon. In this case, it is more realistic to argue that Raila Odinga carried Musalia Mudavadi back to political life.
c) in 2012, Musalia Mudavadi ran as a spoiler candidate. This was after he was shown middle finger by William Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta for wanting to joy ride their support base and campaign money. He lost presidential race terribly, even at his own home polling station he lost to Raila Odinga;
d) in 2017, Musalia was part of NASA that lost to Uhuru Kenyatta. Those who know, say that the money that was used in the campaign was solely born by Raila Odinga. Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula were joyriders, even though they shouted everywhere that they were co-principals. On critical analysis, 2017 was another political resurrection of the man.
It is against this background, that we must dismiss Musalia Mudavadi’s narrative that he is tired of carrying others to State House. Musalia has always sought to joy ride others’ support base, campaign money and the possibility of clinching Presidency.
Even now his message on the state of economy, wage Bill and grand corruption is just empty rhetoric that repeats what others have said in difficult times. Musalia lacks charisma, energy and political acumen to assemble a campaign message, a campaign team and then bankroll it to traverse the country looking for votes.
If Musalia had leadership ability to capture national imagination, he would not be leading a tribal party, Amani National Congress (ANC), populated with Leadership drawn from his subtribe and circling around Luhyas in Western region shouting himself horse that he is serious presidential candidate come 2022.
Be the judge. After all, 2020 elections are a political jail that the voting majority will choose if at all they have a luxury of doing so. Nobody is addressing people’s needs, they are just after their own greedy plans and this time around, gambling with who will have total power to dictate our collapsed economy.
