The Deputy President William Ruto made an unplanned visit to Jubilee Party headquarters in Pangani where he had discussions with the party Sec General Raphael Tuju.
The visit comes two weeks after Tuju hinted that he would meet after the party split into Tangatanga and Kieleweke factions.
Analysts speculate that Ruto must have been there to check the level of preparedness as the deputy party leader. The party leader, President Uhuru Kenyatta is touring the coastal region as Kenyans wait to see if the president will heed to CJ David Maraga’s advisory and dissolve the parliament.
But the DP’s pressman Mr. Emmanuel Talam claimed that Ruto was just checking the progress of their party.
But the party’s deputy secretary-general Caleb Kositany claimed the DP was not at the headquarters for ‘damage control’ but supervise preparations for several coming by-elections.
Dp’s meeting with the members of the Akorino church was cancelled at last meeting after the sect was instructed to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Kasarani Stadium.
Ruto had to attend a different church service in Ziwani where he attended the installation of the African Inland Church (AIC) Nairobi area bishop Rev Joshua Nzau Kimuyu.
