Highest Paid Radio Presenters: Jeff Koinange, Maina Kageni, Jalang’o, Willy M. Tuva, and Churchill are the current crop of top earning radio presenters in the country.
These radio hosts have now been revealed to be earning up to millions of money every month. This is according to an online media site hosted by the Standard Media Group.
Hot 96 radio host Jeff Koinange who doubles up as a TV host on Citizen TV is top of the cream with a salary believed to be close to or around Sh. 2 million per month. Last year, this salary was among those that were slashed by Royal Media as the company fought to stay afloat. The salary, including those of other employees at RMS was reinstated in 2021.

Jeff’s ex co-host Felix Oduor alias Jalang’o has also joined the league of top the highest paid radio presenters. Jalang’o is estimated to be pocketing up to Sh. 1 million at his ob at Radio Africa’s Kiss FM. This means that without allowances, the Chief Justice of Kenya earns less than Jalas!
The duo of Maina Kageni and Daniel Ndambuki alias Churchill at Classic 105 has been in the industry for years, taking home hundreds of thousands every month. Maina Kageni started out at Kiss FM earning over Sh. 360,000 per month. Today, his pay is said to be somewhere between Sh. 1.5 million and Sh. 2 million. Maina is considered the pillar of Classic 105 FM.
His co host Mwalimu King’angi is however earning slightly less. he is is reported to be hovering between Sh. 500,000 and Sh. 1 million.

He however could be raking in much more from his Churchill Show brand.

Take Daniel Githinji Mwangi alias Mbusii of the Radio Jambo reggae show. he is another top earner. he is reportedly earning over Sh. 750,000 every month from his shows. Incidentally, he is also an employee of Radio Africa, another indication of how well the media company pays its top radio personalities.

Willy M Tuva is credit for having birthed and nurtured the Mambo Mseto Show to what it is today. He is one of the most renowned and highly accredited radio presenters at Radio Citizen. He is said to be taking home over Sh. 400,000.
