The officer commanding Nakuru Central Police Station, Derrick Nyaga is on the spotlight over accusations of sexually harassing females at the tainted station.
One victim who requested Kenyan Bulletin to withhold her name is complaining that Mr. Nyaga is always hurling insults at her whenever she visits the station to follow up on a case she reported there.
Nyaga has made sexual advancements to the lady who made reports relating to unfair dismissal from her place of work but he has been turned down. He was pretending that he could help the her secure a job elsewhere if she lowered her skirts.
But the woman who also appears to know the amount that Nyaga is earning challenged him to get a better paying job than his current police job where he is paid a mere Sh.54,000 per month.
She challenged him to resign and venture into business and make good money like his age-mates who are driving posh cars, taking care of their families and maintaining young and sophisticated girlfriends.
Since his advancements were rejected, Nyaga has been sending insults to the poor woman who only went to the station in pursuit of justice.
Cases of sexual harassment are rampant at the Nakuru Central Police Station where the culture has been fostered with the cases not being resolved, or no verdicts and substantive settlements. It is the same station where the late cop Caroline Kangogo served.
