TV47 CEO Eugene Anangwe Exposed

The Chief Executive Officer at TV47 Eugene Anangwe is running the TV station on autopilot, inside sources have revealed.

As of April 20th, 2020 Eugene Anangwe has allegedly sent all but 17 journalists on compulsory and indefinite unpaid leave. The station is barely staying afloat, sources say the rumors to hire  KTNs Diana Tarik and Sam Gakunyi are being propagated on his behalf to hoodwink advertisers and the public that he’s doing well.

The man who spent 11 years working as a journalist in Rwanda’s media industry has allegedly gone as far as placing adverts on Twitter asking people desperate for a job to DM him while at the same time sending home employees because he can’t afford to pay Sh20,000 measly pay he offers

Sources further say that the man allegedly enjoys cheap Labour and is prone to humiliating and firing these vulnerable employees depending on his moods.

The station associated which is associated with Mt Kenya University founder Simon Gicharu, was unveiled in July 2019 with coverage in Nairobi only and had grown to nationwide coverage.

TV47 joins the list of young struggling TV stations in the country despite the Coronavirus Pandemic which has seen major television channels record heavy viewer count.
