Will Samsung give up its flagships in 2021? – TechMoran

[ad_1]

Usually, Samsung presents and releases several high-end smartphones every year. Could it be that this time you have to make do with only one flagship?

According to a Twitter post by leaker Ice Universe, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra could be the only flagship that the South Korean manufacturer has launched this year. Another is not to follow. Although the Fold 3 and the Flip 3, the two expected folding smartphones from Samsung, are not bad, they do not come close to flagship quality because of weak cameras and the basic concept.

After Samsung buried the Note series in March, the S21 Ultra now seems to remain the only high-end device – at least in 2021. Even at the Unpacked event in August, Samsung is not expected to present another high-end smartphone.

If you are looking for an alternative, you may have to use previous year’s models or wait until next year. However, due to the global processor scarcity, 2022 could also be a sad year for flagship fans. How the state of emergency will affect Samsung in concrete terms remains to be seen.

What’s next for Samsung?

In 2021, the two folding smartphones Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 are expected. The predecessors shone rather with moderate success – folding mobile phones do not seem to be suitable for the mass market at the moment and in places also

Because of this, Samsung seems to be adjusting its strategy a bit. According to rumors, the two foldable smartphones will start selling more cheaply than their predecessors. However, there is currently no official information on prices or release.
