Raila Odinga, the opposition chief is chairing a high-level crisis talks of Azimio la Umoja coalition’s top brass in Naivasha, barely two days after former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya announced that he is cutting ties with the ODM owner.
Odinga summoned all the coalition’s 22 governors and top Azimio bigwigs including Wiper boss Kalonzo Musyoka and Narc Kenya’s Martha Karua to discuss ways to prevent top politicians from trooping to President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
Allies from his traditional strongholds like Western and Coast have abandoned him are happily warming up to his fierce rival, President Ruto who defeated him in the August 9 polls.
Mombasa governor Abdulswamad Nassir who was elected on ODM ticket has also broken ranks Odinga as has pledged to work with President Ruto for the growth and betterment of his county.
Kilifi Governor Gideon Mung’aro (ODM) is now leaning towards Ruto. Odinga sycophants like Likoni MP Mishi Mboko is also reported to be on her way to Kenya Kwanza
And Oparanya is not the only top politician from ODM or Luhya Nation to divorce Odinga, even MPs who backed him in the last elections are now warming up to the president through Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
Odinga allied MPs led by Western Region MPs Caucus Chairman Sirisia MP John Waluke met Mudavadi on Wednesday where they resolved to work together for the development and unity of the region.

Raila is now accusing Dr. Ruto of taking on a path of impunity, witch hunt and revenge. He was exposed the moment Azimio leader retired President Uhuru Kenyatta took a low profile after Ruto assumed office.
Uhuru’s diaries cannot accommodate Azimio meetings because he is concentrating in his new role as Peace Envoy for the Great Lakes and Horn of Africa region.
Only Odinga is left with the burden of putting Azimio house in order as reports indicate that Uhuru has been avoiding him from the moment Ruto took over.
They were led by the Western Region MPs Caucus Chairman Sirisia MP John Waluke who was recently released from prison. Waluke expressed the Luhya law makers’ commitment to unite he region.
Other MPs included Titus Khamala (Lurambi), Tindi Mwale (Butere) and Christopher Aseka (Khwisero).
But Odinga could also be plotting an onslaught on Jubilee, their affiliate party in Azimio Coalition. ODM and Jubilee are currently involved in verbal wars where Jubilee has accused ODM of dictatorship and political conmanship.
