Barely a week after its rollout, Apple’s latest iPhone 13.1.3 software update, has been found to affect both wired and wireless charging.
According to Forbes, iPhone 11 users, have been the most affected by the update not only impeding their phones’ ability to charge but also a failure of the U1 chip that the new phones use.
Gordon Kelly, a contributor for Forbes assessment of user reviews revealed that this is an identical issue with the last update.
”Some iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max owners suffered from charging issues introduced by iOS 13.1.2,” he said.
A quick look at the ‘Apple’s user support social media platforms further reveals the extent of the problem and the number of people affected.
”Why has all my wireless chargers stopped working since upgrading to iOS 13.1.3?” Craig Coupar asked
”Apple ios 13.1.3 Is Causing Some New iphoneCharging Failures,” Massimo Allievi noted.
Capo said on Twitter, ”Doesn’t seem to be charging. Plugged in at 51% and it is now at 27%, all while being on the charger.”
Some users however appear to have found a solution to the problem in restarting their phones whenever the charging issue occurs.
Apple through their social media platforms also appear to be engaging with individual users to solve the challenge associated with the iOS 13.1.3 update.
