The family of Juja MP Francis Munyua Waititu alias Wakapee has confirmed that he is dead.
The immediate former MP died on Monday evening while receiving treatment at MP Shah Hospital in Nairobi.

Leaders from across the political divide took to Twitter to express their condolences.
Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya said: “My heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and people of Juja constituency following the death of Hon Francis Munyua Waititu aka Wakapee. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”

Juja MP Francis Waititu, won the Juja seat in 2013 on a TNA ticket. He won it again in 2017 on a JAP ticket. In 2016, he lost his sister to liver cancer. Doctors diagnosed his mum with brain cancer, but declared her cancer free after treatment. Francis had brain cancer as well.
