Sasur Sub Location Assistant chief was on Monday night, June 7, almost lynched by angry residents after he was busted defiling a form two girl in a lodging.
The administrator was caught pants down with the minor at Kikwetu Lodging in Cheptais Town, Mt Elgon after the longe manager raised the alarm, making area residents storm the members facility.
The residents paraded the Assistant Chief around the town and was rescued by Cheptais Police who rushed the suspect to Cheptais Sub County Hospital after receiving a thorough beating from irrate residents.
Condemning the incident, Maendeleo ya Wanawake, Mt Elgon branch Chair lady, Eunice Chepchumba, vowed to make sure the culprit gets the maximum sentencing.
“We can’t sit down and watch leaders ruining the future of innocent girls and especially students, the administrator will serve as an example. We will not condone this, give girls a space to acces education.”
Last year, an assistant chief was fined Ksh400, 000 after he was nabbed defiling a minor at his village office in Bungoma.
