A multi-agency security team in Turkana East has intensified patrols to flush out bandits from the troubled region.
According to police, ‘Operation Komesha Uhalifu in North Rift’ continues to register great success in Baringo and Turkana Counties.
The National Police Service-NPS said on Twitter that the team has managed to recover several rifles and rounds of ammunition.

The intensified patrols come in the wake of the recent banditry attack in Turkana East Sub-County that left 11 people dead.
Eight security officers, two civilians and a local chief were the victims of the attack that has drawn strong condemnation countrywide.
