COVID-19: China lied about death toll in Wuhan

Wuhan’s death toll from coronavirus was 50%  higher that the Chinese authorities reported, Western media outlets have reported.

It has been established that China revised up the number of people who died from COVID-19 in Wuhan to 3,869 which represented a 50% reduction in the real number.

Covid-19: Psychologists Beg For Inclusion In This War

The report comes after US President Donald Trump accused China of lying about death toll as America launched investigations whether the virus originated from a lab in Wuhan.

General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on Tuesday said  that US intelligence show that the Covid-19 likely occurred naturally, and not in a lab.

But American TV, Fox News on Wednesday reported the virus originated from a laboratory in Wuhan but was not meant to be a bio-weapon.

Americans including President Trump have repeatedly referred to the virus as ‘Chinese Virus’ crating an impression that it was ‘made’ in a Chinese lab to fight trade wars.

The American news network (Fox) said it was part of China’s effort to demonstrate that its ability to identify and combat viruses are equal to or greater than the abilities of the US.

Many reports have pointed that the Wuhan lab where virology experiments take place is the origin.

Mike Pompeo, the US Secretary of state also told China to come out clean about their knowledge of the deadly virus that has since infected over 2 million people and claimed 146, 899 lives globally.

In Kenya the figures stand at 234 infections, 53 recoveries with 11 deaths but this is not without an uproar about the Chinese nationals mistreating Africans in their country, the epicenter of the pandemic, over the spread of the virus.

As major cities across the world remain under lock downs, life in China is now returning to normalcy after a ‘firce battle’ with the COVID-19 novel.

In America, President Trump has already laid out guidelines to “Opening up America Again” in three phases for less hit states to gradually ease their lockdowns.

The leader of the free world promised governors that they will be leading the process in their states with help from the federal government despite the move being met by mixed receptions as democrats call it vague and inconsistent.

US currently has 654,301 confirmed cases and 32,186 deaths from COVID-19 but Trump has called on citizens to return to work as he suggested some states could reopen by may 1.
