Milimani Court has sentenced a rogue DCI detective to five years in prison or a fine of Ksh 1.1 million for three offences.
Inspector Panito Bera was accused of kidnapping a two foreigners who sought political asylum in Kenya in 2014.
Other charges include abuse of office and giving false information to a person employed in the public service.
A Directorate of Criminal Investigations detective formerly based at Nairobi's Criminal Investigation office has today been sentenced to 5 years or alternatively pay a fine of Ksh 1.1 million for three offenses.

Panito was facing the charges alongside three other suspects, Police Constable James Sipiti, Billow Ali and Hassan Aden who have been acquitted under section 215 of the Criminal Procedure Code by a Milimani Law court.
