Former Uasin Gishu governor aspirant Zeddekiah Bundotich alias Buzeki, CCM Leader Isaac Ruto and current Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago have closed ranks to work together against DP Ruto is the Rift Valley.
This comes as Buzeki announced his exit from the Jubilee Party, saying his political future does not exist in the ruling party.
Buzeki, CCM Leader Isaac Ruto and Governor Jackson Mandago are the new faces of Stop Ruto movement in the Rift Valley, joining outspoken MPs Joshua Kutuny, Alfred Keter and Senator Gideon Moi.
At a meeting in Eldoret, the three leaders strategized on how to increase the activities of anti Ruto forces in the Rift Valley before engaging other like minded leaders from other regions, for a nationwide movement keen on blocking the DP from being president in 2022.
Buzeki, a billionaire businessman, who has interests in shipping, transport and dairy sector among other areas, said since the last elections he has been monitoring the political situation and Jubilee in particular.
His formidable financial war chest and deep pockets are an asset for the team and it will be interesting how the events unfold in coming days.
His exit from Jubilee is due to constant intimidation from politicians close to DP Ruto. He particularly named Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Soy MP Caleb Kositany and Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet whom he said are determined to keep on frustrating him in Jubilee.
