Politicians allied to the Dp William Ruto are reading mischief in anti graft war claiming that the governors and other backers of the DP are being targeted to weaken him ahead of 2022.

They describe DPP Noordin Haji and DCI boss’s war on graft as unfair and selective.

The furious Tanga Tanga leaders also of conducting  accused the Ethics and Anti-Corruption of conducting selective prosecutions, devoid of facts.

While addressing a gathering in Baringo, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen said that devolution is under threat and the Council of Governors Chairman Wycliffe of Oparanya of cowardice.

The Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen was categorical that it is suspicious that only governors seen to be leaning towards Dp Rutoare being arrested and charged over corruption.

It also stated that is the reason he is presenting Nairobi Governor Mike Sinko, he is reading malice in the graft warband as a crafter of the laws of devolution, Murkomen said that he will not relent.

He also stated that Senate’s number one responsibility is to protect county governments before playinfbthe oversight role.

“I was part of the team that wrote the six laws of devolution. I understand it like the palm of my hands” charged Murkomen told the crowd.

Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal and Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko have all been arrested and charged. They are all allied to Dp William Ruto.

“Governors have been intimidated that if they don’t toe the line in supporting BBI and the handshake they are arrested, charged and removed from office,” Murkomen added.

Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok who ditched ODM leader Rails Odinga for Ruto urged  President Uhuru to convene a summit to discuss the status of devolution in the wake of the governor’s arrests.

“The last time a summit was called was when I was the chairman of the Council of Governors. It is more than15  months now yet the law stipulates that every year there must be two sittings of the summit. What is the problem? If you will not take care of the counties, we will reject that BBI,” Nanok said.

Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei is agreement with Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot who said, “The so-called war on corruption has been tailor-made to target supporters of the DP”.

Cheruiyot said the agenda of the Jubilee government changed after the president shook hands with ODM leader Rails Odinga. ” It changed to undermining the DP who has indicated seriousness in succeeding the President Kenyatta.
