‘Use of animals to relate Human corrupt ways is derogatory’, Veterinarian Body Cautions Kenyans
Dr. Miheso Mulembani, Secretary General, Union Of Veterinary Practitioners of Kenya – UPVK

After the exposé on corruption at the Maasai Mara University yesterday, in which people asking for bribes were being referred to as Cows (ile ng’ombe kubwa inataka nyasi), the Union Of Veterinary Practitioners of Kenya (UVPK) has written to Kenyans to respect animals or face punishment.

The little known union, which is led by Dr. Miheso Mulembani as Secretary General, wrote on their various social media platforms calling on Kenyans to desist from associating innocent animals with human corrupt ways.

The US Ambassador to Kenya Kyle McCarter was also not spared. The UVPK called him out for denoting corruption as a dog.

Their full statement as per their Twitter handle is below.

USE OF ANIMALS TO DENOTE CORRUPTION

In April 2019, the USA Ambassador to Kenya Kyle McCarter equated a trusted friend of man, a DOG to corruption. He said “Corruption-ni Kama mbwa kubwa na nono”.

Yesterday we watched the #MaraHeist with astonishment as VC Prof Walingo equated COWS to express her Insatiable appetite for public funds.

We wish to state as follows: Animals are the most honest creation of God.

God demanded of us to take care of animals and not to use them to denote our human corrupt ways. A dog well fed will protect the owner at all times no matter the location. A cow properly fed will produce milk commensurate to its ability. No more no less.

As defenders of animals, we wish to advise that the use of animals to relate Human corrupt ways is derogatory and may attract action as ordained by God.

Well, Dr. Miheso Mulembani, how about speaking to George Orwell for a start? ?
