Prominent farmer and businessman Mzee Jackson Kibor could spend the rest of the festive season tucked under the warm sheets of his bed.

Circulating reports say that the Eldoret-based tycoon is facing an undisclosed illness that has forced him to retreat from his Uasin Gishu mansion to his rural home in Ziwa, Soy Sub County.

The controversial personality who made his wealth in the grain industry is famously known to be the “Chairman” of the imaginary annual Men’s Conference.

From images shared by Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant Jonathan Bii – Chelilim on Thursday 23rd December 2021, Kibor appeared to be in high spirits despite his latet predicament.

Apart from being an online sensation, the octogenarian has also frequently appeared in the headlines for fighting his wives and children over his vast wealth and property.

In Decemeber 2020, the Kibor won a case against his sons and his employees, who had appealed a lower court’s ruling over a piece of land in Soy, Uasin Gishu County.

Additionally, Mzee Kibor has also had divorce cases that played out in the public, including one from Josephine Jepkoech, his wife of more than 50 years.

He also was involved in court battles with his sons over land.

In May 2021, the farmer suffered a blow after the Court of Appeal in Kisumu temporarily stopped him from evicting his three sons from a controversial property he claims belongs to him.
