Baringo Senator Gideon Moi-owned Lord Errol Gourmet Restaurant has sacked all staff and closed shop.

According to reports, the award-winning restaurant situated in the leafy suburbs of Runda in Nairobi entered a struggling phase after the shutdown occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Lord Erroll Gourmet Restaurant, in 2017, was crowned the Global Restaurant of The Year 2017 at the Global Awards ceremony hosted by the Luxury Travel Guide at the The Waldorf Hilton Hotel, London, on the 6th November 2017.

In 2018, the luxury restaurant put Kenya on the list of destinations with top global luxury restaurants by winning nine awards during the prestigious World Luxury Restaurant Awards.

“This award is dedicated to the entire team at the Lord Erroll who work tirelessly to exceed our guests’ expectations as well as our loyal guests who keep us on toes, raising our bar higher and always encouraging us to be more.” said Zahra Moi in 2017

Lord Erroll Director is Zahra Bahlewa Moi. Wife to the Baringo Senator.

The Global Awards represent a worldwide community of the highest calibre of accommodation, restaurants, destinations, wedding specialists and tour companies. All the selected winners are subject to the same rigorous assessment criteria, carried out by their in-house professionals. This ensures only the most deserving individuals and organisations walk away with the prestigious accolades.
