Kenya Bulletin has established that there is a Cameroonian soccer agent in the middle of Football Kenya Federation scandals.
Identified as Joe Kamga, the missing agent was tasked with how the Sh 244 million the government gave to Harambee Stars was spent during preparations and 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
Mr Kamga is nowhere to account for the expenditure as FKF insists that only him can break down the numbers. Kamga was given the responsiblity around the same time Nick Mwendwa took over the FKF presidency in 2016.
Stars coach Sebastian Migne, a Belgian was paid Sh106 million by FKF following a curious decision to have senior men’s national train in France to prepare for the bi-annual continental tournament in Egypt. Migne who was the tactician at the time is also from France.
To date, there is no scientific evidence to back the camping in France and how it helped Stars to perform better in Egypt considering the difference in climatic conditions between the two countries when the tournament was held.
Kenya played three games, losing to finalists Senegal and Algeria and only beating Tanzania in group matches.
When FKF and Nick Mwendwa began dealing with Kamga in 2016, it was the very year that the women’s senior national team qualified for the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in Cameroon that Kamga was identified by the federation as the best contact person to assist in ensuring the Starlets’ comfort in Limbe where the matches were played.
2019 AFCON winners camped in Dubai where the weather conditions with Egypt are similar. This was even cheaper.
The Sh244 million handed to FKF was approved by both the Ministry of Sports and the Sports, Arts and Social Development Fund.
It is now emerging that Kamga was single sourced by Migne for the french job when government rules require that that tendering and bidding must be applied where public funds are involved.
Kamga is a stute operator and smooth negotiator found his way into the hearts of not only FKF, but several football federations in Africa.
He got into the limelight in Kenya after sealing the deal that grabbed former Harambee Stars coach Sebastian Migne from Republic of Congo and take over the Sh1.7 million-a-month job last year.
He is also behind the four nation tournent in India where Kenya participated in 2018. Kenya played friendly matches and FKF pocketed appearance fees.
Through his agency. OneGoalPro, Kamga was given Sh43 million to book the national team’s accommodation and training facility in Marcousises, France.
He further recieved Sh63 million to organize friendly matches against DR Congo and Madagascar in Madrid and Paris after Gambia turned down Stars in the last minute.
His figured are questioned and believed to have been inflated if there are no hidden charges.
It all looks like a deal between Migne, Kamga and FKF boss, Nick Mwendwa. Migne insisted he had worked with Migne, he trusted and threatened to resign if the training venues in France were not secured in good time. Nick Mwendwa also praised Kamga in a statement in July.
Kamga can not be reached for comments, he is also not replying to emails. He is a well-connected man , fluent in French, English, German and Dutch.
FKF at is also at task to explain Shs 9million the federation spent to purchase kits from apparel makers, Macron. The amount spent around the time AFCON was held is huge to kit the national for less that six weeks.
